Becoming a Sponsor of the Capstone Program is:
Sign up for the
YWCC CAPSTONE Mailing List
The industry-sponsored capstone program provides a unique opportunity for organizations to partner with YWCC to help educate the next generation of world-class researchers and practitioners. The collaboration provides projects and solutions of value to the sponsor, and challenges our students to apply the knowledge and tools acquired during their education to solving real-world problems.
Interdisciplinary teams of students work together to tackle projects sponsored by companies. These teams collaborate with faculty, who serve as mentors and advisers, to devise solutions that enable sponsors to meet their business needs and technology challenges.
The Capstone program is one which rounds out the ability for students to learn to apply what they learned in class. It prepares them for a real work experience. I've seen the students mature and sharpen they’re skills very significantly through-out the term. The Capstone project is a very valuable experience for students.
Please continue to bring students on of this caliber to the course. It's what keeps us coming back!
Overall we are very happy with the group. The students worked as a whole unit, were prompt on all of their objectives, satisfied all of their goals, all while getting along and providing us good feedback on their progress. There were many times when we had to interact and help out the team, but our hopes are that the team got as much value out of the project as we did ourselves.
It was our first time sponsoring a Capstone project. We teamed up with a GREAT group of students that have done an amazing job on this project. They went above and beyond, displaying a well-rounded skill set and experience. Thank you for the opportunity.
The team was great. They worked amazing together and were quick learners.
The final showcase provided an excellent opportunity for students to make contact with potential employers. I was also impressed with the graduate students who supported the capstone teams including the team mentor and the facilitators of the midterm and final presentation sessions.
Grateful for the team assembled and work completed. Thank you, NJIT Capstone.
We have been very impressed by the NJIT students on our projects. They were very receptive to new technologies and were able to contribute significantly to our work.
Three times a year, NJIT’s Osama Eljabiri makes the trip to Medellin, Colombia, as part of his Real World Connections (RWC) program.
RWC mirrors a program he started more than a decade ago in New Jersey for middle school and high school students, designed to help them innovate, create and gain real-world experience in computing skills….
